The MCG

The MCG

‘Tis that time of year when the family photos come out & we listen again to
Australia’s 1st day of the Boxing Day Test.

Have a look @abcgrandstand and listen to the Aussie perspective as the wickets fall whilst there be links to the usual suspects on the right for commentary of The Ashes live.

Dream day for England – Day 1 at the MCG

There may not be three steps to heaven for the Australians after their 1st innings at the MCG.  England at lunch on day three are all out for 513 a massive lead of 415 on the third day of the 4th Ashes test and we know you should never start counting thy chickens.

Though we all know where the Ashes are heading.  Some chap suggested on TMS that the Aussies will come back a storm in the second innings.  Start the rain dance now me thinks.  I believe in Santa Clause & you know what the future holds for that there ‘ickle urn.

England re-assert their dominance

I was told a few days ago that twitter is not their cup of tea, thats a matter of opinion and buzzin that be. What i find is that people are more than willing to share so many links and info that it’s well worth a visit if you be so inclined and have the time try The Wesden Cricketer a newspaper style format about cricket.

I also found this ‘ere England v Australia at Lords 1948 link from @ECB_cricket, now it’s not for me to say what you should do, though listening to John Arlott once again tracked back the years gone by carrying on with that father time principle on my mind as we move into a new era of The Ashes and cricket in general.
